Audi A2

Even thought Audi introduce the all new A1 at the Geneva Auto Show, they are working on a yet another small car for their lineup. The 2014 A2 will fit in the Audi in the Audi lineup below the A3
The A2 is not produced since 2005 and Audi is eager to take back the small car market as soon as possible.

In an official interview, Audi CEO “Rupert Stadler” said that he believes Audi has a space to introduce another small car in their lineup.  “There’s clearly room for another product and another concept between the A3 and A1,” he told Automotive News in Geneva.

The A2 will be probably on sale on late 2013 or early 2014, with some insiders in Audi suggesting that an electric version is very possible.  Audi has not said whether the future A2 would be sold North America or not.

In essence the A2 will be an extended version of the A1 featuring four doors.  I really hope that the next A2 will be a more successful because over seven years of production, Audi manages to less than 25,200 annually.
