Audi A7

The 2012 Audi A7 was spotted in Portugal. Although it was covered heavily with camouflage wrap we can spot some of the basic design details. The A7 will fill the gap between the future A6 and the all new 2011 Audi A8.

From those pictures you can see that the A7 will feature a full LED taillights. The A7 will use the platform from the next gen A6, but as you cans see from the pictures, it will be a bit larger than the A6. The 2012 is expected to debut at the Moscow Auto Show in August.

Audi A7 Engine Specifications

A7 customer will be able to choose from 2 petrol and three diesel engines.

At the petrol side, the A7 will get an 2.8 FSI Multitronic 204ps or S-tronic (7speed) with four wheel drive quattro, if 204ps are not enough, you can get the 3.0TFSI developing 300 hp fitted to a 7speed S-tronic with four wheel drive quattro.
The 2012 Audi S7 will probably get a 4.0TFSI producing around 400ps fitted to the newly developed 8speed S-tronic gearbox.

At the diesel side, customers will get a 190ps 2.7 TDI Multitronic or S-tronic (7speed) with quattro, the bulletproof 3.0TDI with 240ps from the current A6 but fitted to a 7speed gearbox and a  3.0TDI with twin turbos producing 300ps with 7speed gearbox.

Although we can’t be sure that those diesel engines are going to be sold in the States, the 4.0TFSI with 400ps sounds very tempting.

The price will be under 75000$ and under 7000Euro for Europe. Sales in Europe for the new A7 will start later this year and in North America in early 2011.
