Audi R8 V10 – Performance Car of year 2010
The 2010 Audi R8 V10 has been voted to be the 2010 World Performance Car of the Year.
R8 V10 beat the Ferrari California and the Porsche 911 GT3
The R8 was selected by an 59 jurors, from 25 countries. Even though the R8 was put against the Ferrari California and Porsche 911 GT3 it managed to take the 1st place . The jurors were surprised with the reasonable price and yet the outstanding performance capabilities of the R8. The lighweight dynamic chassis and powerful 5.2-liter V10 engine ensured the R8 first place.
Johan De Nysschen (Executive Vice President of Audi of America) sait: “We’ are honored that the Audi R8 V10 was chosen by this distinguished group of jurors as the 2010 World Performance Car. This is the 5th year of the World Performance Car award and we are very happy that the R8 V10 was chosen as the best performance car, but whether you choose an R8 with a V8 or with a V10 engine, you get a World Performance Car award winner.”
