As one of the biggest Audi blogs and a place where petrol-heads find useful information, about cars, we have decided to for a little list of the most important guidelines where you should follow when choosing and insurance company or filling a car insurance quote.

So here are the car insurance quotes guidelines.

Before we start, a little about car insurance in the states. As you know, every licensed driver in US is required to have a valid car insurance. Getting that car insurance is usually a process of reading and choosing the right car insurance company, normally you get of the process of filling car insurance quotes, when various companies offers prices for your insurance …. So you think, simple enough. I will fill those car insurance quotes and then I will get the most cheap one. Well wait about that. Before we even start with the car insurance quote guidelines, you need to understand one think. Your car insurance is not only to be shown at the policeman, but it actually need to be reliable. So getting a car insurance from a company that is offering an insurance that is considerably lower than any other is quite dangerous. Not always, but think twice about that … So what you need to look for or in other words, what types of car insurance you need to know.

Firs … Liability
That is the bodily injury and propery damage coverages. Those coverages pay for the other party damages and injuries, if the accident is happen by your fault. Those coverages are usually sold in per person/per accident and every state in the US has its own minimum coverage requirements.

Collision – That is the coverage that pays for damages to your car caused when you hit another car or object.

Comprehensive – That is the coverage that pays for loss or damage to the damaged car that doesn’t occur in an car accident. That car insurance covers also loss caused by fire, vandalism, theft and other.

Medical Coverage – As you can expect that type of coverage expenses regardless of fault when the expenses are caused by an auto accident.

PIP – Personal Injury Protection (PIP) is not required in every state. This coverage pays medical expenses for the insured driver, no matter who’s fault of drivers is for the accident.

Uninsured Motorist – Those are for the accident when the other driver have no valid insurance.

Rental Reimbursement – This will pay when you hire a rental car. It’s usually used for rental cars.

For more information visit: consumeraction.gov, dor.mo.gov/drivers/insurinfo.php or websites like: insurance.com.

Don’t let your safety in the way .. be prepared.

Well those photos are far from being official of the real 2012 Audi Q6, but are good enough to be discussed. Some drawings that are showing what might the future 2012 Audi Q6 look like.

With no surprise, with the success of BMW X6, Audi is now are going to develop a rival for the BMW X6. Yes, something beautiful and a bit more un-practical compared to the Q7.

There are not many details, but Audi CEO Rupert Stadler said the on German press “We can imagine a model between the Q5 and the Q7 . . . a coupe-like, four-wheel-driven model.” If approved, the crossover would feature sporty styling and ride on the same platform that underpins the Volkswagen Touareg and Porsche Cayenne.

Now words about the engines, but we can expect the ordinary 2.0TDI-e to be in the lineup for ruse, also the bulletproof 2.0TFSI. A sportier version with 4.0TFSI V8 from the future S6 could also be fitted in the Q6 and off course the mighty 3.0TDI.

Nothing for the launch date of the Q6, but don’t expect to see one of those in front of your house earlier than summer 2012 or even 2013.

Following on from the economic difficulties of 2009 many critics were expecting difficult years for the majority of manufacturers.
However Audi managed to escape from the mire; experiencing its best ever sales year to date and producing more cars than ever as a result.
The German manufacturer built 1,148,791 cars in 2010 – a 23.4 per cent improvement on 2009 volumes and Audi credited its new models for that achievement.

One of the new crop is the Audi A1 sub-compact hatchback – the first premium compact car on the market.
Despite having been on the market for just a couple of months, the A1 has been widely well received – selling out of its 2010 production run even before it had been released – and has also been the subject of critical acclaim, scooping one of the most prestigious motor awards in the UK when it was voted as the What Car? Car of the Year in January.
Editor-in-chief at What Car?, Steve Fowler said: “If ever there has been a car that has hit the nail squarely and firmly on the head, the Audi A1 is it. It’s the right car at the right time: a car that combines desirability and ability alongside frugal financials – the perfect combination.”
Audi hasn’t rested on its laurels however and especially not with the A1 as it looks to expand the current range for the premium compact hatchback.
Order books have recently opened for the most powerful engine set-up in the A1 range with a new 185PS 1.4-litre TFSI dual-charged unit added to the line-up.
Utilising a superchargher at low-end revs and then a turbocharger at high-end revs, the new A1 derivative is capable of clearing 0-62mph in just 6.9 seconds with a top-speed of 141mph.
The new engine expands the current range to four as it joins the 1.2-, 1.4- and 1.6-litre TFSI options and like its smaller siblings it too delivers minimal CO2 emissions and excellent fuel consumption figures that are the best yet for the A1 at 139g/km of CO2 and 47.9mpg.
Audi is also testing an A1 quattro at the moment in Canada.
Whilst the initial trial has been commissioned as a birthday celebration of the Quattro all-wheel drive system – currently in its 30th year – the results of the trial could result in a Quattro enabled A1 in the near future.

The high tech Audi R15-TDI racing sports car ran the entire distance without any problem during the test race. Right after the opening lap of the eight-hour race, Audi race driver Allan McNish managed to overtook the Peugeot driven by Frenchman Stéphane Sarrazin which had started from pole position. After the victory against the Peugeot, on the third lap the R15 TDI overtook the Lola-Aston Martin of Stefan Mücke.

From then the Audi R15 TDI driven by Allan McNish and his teammate Dindo Capello did not relinquish the lead. The race went smooth and without any problem for Audi Racing Team. Amazingly after 266 laps the two Audi R15 drivers had managed to take a whole five-lap lead over the Lola-Aston Martin driven by defending champion Stefan Mücke, Harold Primat and Adrian Fernandez. The Oreca team Peugeot finished in 4th place because of a technical problem.

The only unscheduled visit to the pit stops was made just before the end of the race, Joest had to put rain tires.

Audi Sport Team Joest used the Le Mans Series 2010 season opener as training exercise for the 24-hour race at Le Mans on 12/13 June 2010.

Race results after the first race:

1 Capello/McNish (Audi R15 TDI) 266 laps in 8h 00m 36.415s
2 Primat/Mücke/Fernandez (Lola-Aston Martin) – 5 laps
3 Belicchi/Boullion/Smith (Lola-Rebellion) – 5 laps
Audi has managed to sell 15,600 more cars than Mercedes for the quarter of 2010, according to Automotive News Europe. Audi has been investing huge money into commercials in the US and the results are clearly noticeable. That’s the first time that Audi has managed to outsell Mercedes globally.

Audi vs BMW vs Mercedes

Although BMW has not reported their result for the first quarter of 2010, they would hardly even come close to that result. Audi sold 264,100 vehicles, while Mercedes has managed to sell 248,500 sales from January to March 2010.

Compared to the first quarter of 2009, Audi has increased it’s sales by almost 26% and allows Audi to continue developing their future plans. As we wrote earlier this year, VW has invested 7.3Billion Euro in Audi.

Audi executives have previously stated that their target is 1.5 million annual new vehicle sales by the end of 2016.

Here you can see a really bold design for the RS7. As you can seed from the photos, this RS7 shares a lot of the lines with the current R8 but with really interesting curves. Also the RS7 features the two different colors between the engine bonnet and the rest of the car.

Yes, that Audi RS7 is pure photoshoped concept, but there are really interesting elements that Audi could use in their production line. The small grill fits really well, we have get used to see big grills in current Audi’s, but as you can see with the small grill and large air takes.

This design of this RS7 is done by Adriano Mudri.

Even thought Audi introduce the all new A1 at the Geneva Auto Show, they are working on a yet another small car for their lineup. The 2014 A2 will fit in the Audi in the Audi lineup below the A3
The A2 is not produced since 2005 and Audi is eager to take back the small car market as soon as possible.

In an official interview, Audi CEO “Rupert Stadler” said that he believes Audi has a space to introduce another small car in their lineup. “There’s clearly room for another product and another concept between the A3 and A1,” he told Automotive News in Geneva.

The A2 will be probably on sale on late 2013 or early 2014, with some insiders in Audi suggesting that an electric version is very possible. Audi has not said whether the future A2 would be sold North America or not.

In essence the A2 will be an extended version of the A1 featuring four doors. I really hope that the next A2 will be a more successful because over seven years of production, Audi manages to less than 25,200 annually.

Following the RS5 Official Photos leaked in a brouchure, Audi has released official information and details about the 2011 RS5.

Power will come from a naturally aspirated 4.2-liter V8 that produces 331 kW (444 hp / 450 PS) and 430 Nm (317 lb-ft) of torque. I was really hoping for a down tuned V10 TFSI or V8 TFSI, but if they put that powerful engine in the RS5 then it will be too expensive and will step into R8 territory.
The good news is that the 4.2 V8 will produce 450Ps and that is 30ps more than the current BMW M3 which the RS5 is aiming at.

RS5 customers will get a seven-speed S tronic DSG 7-speed transmission which allows the 1,725 kilogram (3,803 pound) coupe to accelerate from 0-100 km/h(0-62mph) in 4.6 seconds, before topping out at an electronically limited 250 km/h (155 mph). Audi can even remove the limiter if you pay extra. But despite the enormous power; Audi says that the RS5 will consume 10.8 liters of petrol per 100 km (21.78 US mpg).

Compared to the 354 hp 4.2-liter V8 that is currently fitted in the S5 RS5 engine features friction reduction technology that cuts on fuel consumption and a new exhaust system.

A new crown-gear center differential is also available in the RS5 to ensure that the handling is as better as the engine. The self-locking crown-gear “can widely vary the distribution of torque between the front and rear axles to improve handling further.

” When extra traction isn’t required, the unit has a 40:60 rear-biased configuration. According to Audi, “This new differential operates in conjunction with electronic torque vectoring, which affects all four wheels. If one of the inside wheels becomes imbalanced while the vehicle is at its operational limits, then the system slightly decelerates the wheel to obviate wheel spin. This results in terrific traction on the one hand while generating a yaw moment which aids cornering.”

A revised braking system, a modified electronic stabilization program which can be turned off and a recalibrated speed-dependent servotronic steering system are also available in the RS5.Ceramic brakes are optional.

Inside, the RS5 has leather/Alcantara sports seats, a sport steering wheel, carbon fiber inlays, piano black accents, and aluminum trim.

RS5 will cost 77.000Euro in Germany. No information for US or UK prices yet.

A brochure with the official photos of Audi RS5 has been leaked ahead of the Geneva Motor Show. And the first emotion that you get when seeing those photos is just woow, a true M3 killer.

Ever since Audi introduced the original A5 three years ago, rumors about a future RS model based on the A5 was spreading all around in the Audi community. And finally the wait is over. Those are the first real official photos of the 2011 Audi RS5.

The car is looking truly astonishing. Very brutal and at the same time quite elegant. In other words, an M3 killer.

However now details about the future engine specs were include in the leaked brochure. But, it does mention three types of seating and four wheel design choices in the RS6. Happily there is a 7-speed dual clutch (DSG) S-tronic transmission as standard in the RS5, no mention about an manual gearbox and to be honest, who need a manual if you can have a dual clutch DSG.

2011 Audi RS5 Engine Specifications

Speculation about which powerplant will drive the 2001 RS 5 are virtually endless. The guesses starts from a pumped up 3.0-liter supercharged V6 TFSI as fitted in the Audi S4, 4.2-liter naturally aspirated V8 and 5.0-liter V10 borrowed from the RS 6 to the range topping 5.2-liter V10 from the R8. Horsepower has been logically guestimated between 450 PS (331 kW / 444 hp) and 550 PS (405 kW / 542 hp), essentially where the RS 4 leaves off with 420 PS (309 kW / 414 hp) and ending with the RS 6 and its 579 PS (426 kW / 571 hp).

The RS 5 will officially debut at the Geneva Motor Show in two weeks. According to previous reports, the RS5 hits the streets soon after in July. The price for the beast is still unknown, but is should be somewhere between 75000 and 95ooo Euro in Germany.
